List of DOPE Bible Translations

Reading the Bible is a lot easier when you know what you’re reading and when it’s a trustworthy translation! Here are some Bible Translations that we have verified are powerful and accurate to the Word of God!!

The NLT (New Living Translation): The New Living Translation combines the latest biblical scholarship with a clear, dynamic writing style that communicates God’s Word powerfully to all who hear and read it. It renders the message of the original texts of Scripture into clear, contemporary English that was written to be read aloud. With a focus on clarity, The New Living Translation invites readers to go deeper into the biblical text to discover God’s story for their lives and the world.

The ESV (English Standard Version: The English Standard Version (ESV) is an essentially literal translation of the Bible in contemporary English. Created by a team of more than 100 leading evangelical scholars and pastors, the ESV Bible emphasizes word-for-word accuracy, literary excellence, and depth of meaning.

The NASB (New American Standard Bible): Since its completion in 1971, the New American Standard Bible has been widely embraced as a literal and accurate English translation because it consistently uses the formal equivalence translation philosophy. This method translates word-for-word from the original languages as much as possible. At the same time, it recognizes the need for the translation to be readable.

The NIV (New International Version): The New International Version (NIV) is the world’s bestselling modern-English Bible translation—accurate, readable, and clear, yet rich with the detail found in the original languages. The NIV is the result of over 50 years of work by the Committee on Bible Translation, who oversee the efforts of many contributing scholars.

The AMP (Amplified Translation): The Amplified Bible is a translation that, by using synonyms and definitions, both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text by placing amplification in parentheses and brackets after keywords or phrases.

The NKJV (New King James Version): In short, it’s the King James Bible, but new. The New King James Version (NKJV) Bible takes as its foundation the classic King James Bible from 1611 but gives it a more modern feel. The goal of the NKJV is simple: to preserve the beauty of the KJV whilst making it accessible to modern readers. Put succinctly, the Bible’s strap-line is “Beautiful. Trustworthy. True.”
