eKidz Ministry at The Exchange Church
At The Exchange, our kids (6 weeks through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
Your first visit
Here's what to expect when visiting eKidz for the first time:
First, find the check-in area for VIP families. There, we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their classroom.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Home address
- Phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How check-in works
Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
Running late? No problem!! We do close classroom doors right when service starts to eliminate distractions, so if you happen to arrive after this time one of our fabulous Check-in volunteers will walk you and your child to their assigned classroom.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and speak with a volunteer at the eKidz check-in station.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
What can your child expect?
We begin checking kids in 15 minutes before each service. During this time, we have games going for the kids and leaders are spending time connecting with and making every child feel welcome. Once service starts, we kick off with a few classroom rules, collect offering, and enter into a time of corporate worship and then a Bible story.
We value your child’s potential
We believe that there is no “junior” Holy Spirit. In fact, often times children are able to hear God easier than adults due to our tendency to overthink and over analyze. In eKidz, we love to foster the beautiful relationship between a child and their Heavenly Father. Through Bible stories, worship, and small group time, they are able to learn things like: how to hear God’s voice, how to read their Bible, and what it looks like to bring the Kingdom to their school, home, and everywhere they go.
